August 12th, 2010

Where: Pub St-Ciboire

Why: Launch of the first album

Description :A very successful first album launch for the young group who's just starting a brilliant career. A room packed of fans ready to buy this album they all have been waiting for. The Garlics are on the right track and are motivated to keep it this way.

An interesting design by the textured style of the album cover and a brilliant concept for such a young group; including a DVD of their new video "Goodbye" in the package. The Garlics even give fans the chance to get one of the first 200 autographed albums. Intelligent, these young artists are doing their best to be visible and make their music travel as far as possible using NuMusix, iTunes and many others.

The St-Ciboire was more than packed on the evening of August 12. The festive atmosphere felt by the members of the group seeing the public's enthusiasm for their new compositions was beautiful to see. A Hard Day's Night, group opening the show, really well warmed the crowd waiting anxiously to see The Garlics. The singer May seduced the public from the first notes. Their performance was complete with a mix of their old songs and new compositions.

With confidence, the four teenagers take us to a great experience. They make us want to join in their success.

A new video is now available on their official YouTube page. The song "Without You" is the second piece chosen to create a universe of their own for their compositions.

The Garlics gains experience and is preparing for larger projects.

May 2nd, 2010

Where: Club Soda in Montreal

Why: The “LME Battle of the Bands” contest at Club Soda.

Description : Supporters of all age groups were present. The Garlics have yet again made the crowd go wild with their fiery performance. Originally from Boisbriand, a Montreal suburb, the foursome immediately charmed the public with their energetic music from beginning to end.

LME Battle of the Bands is a contest that encourages emerging artists and offers them the opportunity to perform in one of Montreal's most famous venues, the Club Soda, which is situated on the busy corner of Ste-Catherine and St-Laurent streets, in the heart of downtown. So many bands dream of stepping onto such a reputable stage in Quebec.

A third place so well deserved by a young band that keeps winning prizes in such important contests and events! The Garlics is paving its way onto the music scene and is attracting a constantly growing fanbase.

January 31, 2009

Where: Club Soda in Montreal

Why: The “Exposure Music Festival 2009” contest at Club Soda.

Description: William signed us up for the Exposure Music Festival so that we could experience what many people wish to experience: playing at Club Soda. We mentioned the event to many of our friends, and over 100 of them actually showed up on the night of our live performance to encourage us. Aside from everyone already present at the event that night, Club Soda welcomed about 500 spectators.

April 26, 2009

Where: Collège St-Sacrement’s auditorium in Terrebonne

Why: Corporate event of Caisse Desjardins

Description: The event planner wished to regroup on stage, as the night’s entertainment, the finalists from the regional contest of Secondaire en Spectacle in the Lanaudière region. After each performance, every performer received a 150$ cheque. The auditorium, which has a total capacity of about 900 people, was sold out. This time, though, the audience had changed; instead of people between 15 and 40 years old like at Club Soda, the average age of audience members was…65 years! Of course, this was without a doubt a different and new experience for us, but quite an enriching one!

May 14, 2009

Where: In the offices of Génération-Pub

Why: Distribution of rewards for “Clic Ton Band” contest

Description: As representatives of UndergroundMusix, a musical revolution, we had to perform one of our songs in an acoustic format. In front of many respected and important people in the music industry, we played “Going Down,” which was very well received by this particular audience. In fact, it is this performance that propelled certain people to begin “talking about us” and a number of articles were written about us.

August 22, 2009

Where: Thetford Mines

Why: Festival Promutuel de la relève de Thetford Mines

Description: After driving 3 hours to get there, we couldn’t wait our turn to hit the stage. Fortunately, Kamakazi, Exterio and a free cooler full of beer were there to blow off steam. We talked with the bands about the music industry in quebec and we learned a lot from them. It was really refreshing and inspiring as well. Then, it was time to show what we were made of. So, we jumped on the Canatal stage and rock the hell out of Thetford Mines. We really had fun up there and we would like to thank Guy Allard for his contribution on stage as our rhythm guitarist. The Garlics definitely lefted a good taste in the mouth of all the ones who watched the show. And as soon as we lefted Thetford, the four of us had to get back to school...How BORING is that?

September 26, 2009

Where: Butte St-Jacques in Montreal

Why: Opening band for NEM.

Description: Small and intimate venue, it was a great gig for us. We were also presenting new songs and we were ready to rock the place. Spectators were giving an amazing feedback and it was again an intense experience for us. Our energy on stage was so powerful that we felt a unique connection with this performance. Like always, Sting of a Dart was a huge success!
